12/1/2011 - Robert Nagourney, MD, a Featured Speaker at Farrah Fawcett Symposium
Long Beach, CA—November 29, 2011 – Robert Nagourney, MD, founder of Rational Therapeutics, Inc., Long Beach, CA, is a featured speaker at The Farrah Fawcett Symposium on Circulating Tumor Cells and Chemosensitivity Testing, December 7 – 9, at Loews Beach Hotel, Santa Monica.
Sponsored by the Angeles Clinic Foundation, the symposium is a result of a generous gift from the Farrah Fawcett Foundation. Fawcett died in 2009 at St. John’s Health Center after a lengthy battle against cancer. The invitation only symposium will bring together the world’s prominent researchers in this area in order to raise awareness and explore current methods of cancer treatment including assays.
Dr. Nagourney, who recently addressed the situation at a TEDx symposium (http://youtu.be/mAGhNhrHMJs), sees an overwhelming need to spread the message this conference will address – using the Ex Vivo Analysis of Programmed Cell Death (EVA-PCD®) platform, which provides a functional profile of how the cancer will respond to treatment.
